I discovered true love the first time I heard Youth by Foxes. Gorgeous lyrics, a haunting melody, and the vocals of an angel. To remix this song would be a disservice to it’s beauty – or so I thought, until I stumbled across Faustix & Imanos‘s chilled-out trap remix. The track preserves the original song’s lyrical quality while still embracing a character of its own. Soothing vocals drop into danceable trap beats that complement the song’s theme – what’s more youthful than a little bit of dancing?
Faustix & Imanos make a good team. The producers, hailing from Denmark and Canada respectfully, released an EP entitled Echoes last month on Mad Decent records. Their Youth remix is scheduled for release October 8th on RCA, but listen to it here now!
