The sounds of 80′s synth-work are alive and well in this remix of Bear Mountain’s “Congo”. Kings Of The North is a duo from Toronto and it seems like they just recently got their start in the game judging by their SoundCloud page. Their “Congo” remix being the only remix they’ve made public, two hour-long mixes also appear along side. And thought this is only a start for Kings Of The North, it’s an excellent start at that. I think the production lends itself to the vocal stems that make the original so great, but KOTN’s simple but effective production also makes this track one of a kind. One of the tags on the track is a seemingly silly genre tag, ‘Tropical Rave Ballad’. I agree with the tropical and ballad page of the tag but I think a disco feeling is more appropriate than rave. Either way this remix is excellent and should be downloaded now.
