Sam Smith made a name for himself by lending his vocals to Disclosure‘s smash hit “Latch,” and has continued to ride that wave of success by putting out numerous solo singles ahead of the release of his debut EP. Produced by Two Inch Punch, his newest song is definitely more dance-heavy than his previous solo efforts, with heavily effected drums and a faint vocal sample in the background that allows his spectacular voice to shine in the forefront of the song. There’s no denying the vocal talent that the 21 year-old singer has, but after hearing more and more songs it is clear that he has an impeccable songwriting ability as well. His voice becomes mesmerizing as the pitches of his voice are tuned with, and the three-minute song only leaves you wanting more after it’s over. Look out for Sam Smith‘s debut release to come out sometime this year on PMR Records.
