Just yesterday we saw the premiere of a brand new video from Dominic Maker and Kai Campos who together make up the talented production team behind Mount Kimbie. Now when Mount Kimbie first became a blip on my radar they had just released their debut EP ‘Maybes’ and from the moment I pressed play my ears couldn’t get enough. Now four years later, having just seen the release of their sophomore album ‘Cold Spring Fault Less Youth’, the guys are still on their A-game. While this recent album was a little more off the beaten track than ‘Crooks and Lovers’ in 2010 you still get every bit of the Mount Kimbie I have come to love. This is the first music video from this recent LP and I must say it’s for one of my favorite tracks off the album. ‘You Took Your Time’ features King Krule‘s unique flow over an eerily echoing beat which I must say compliments the video that now goes along with the track perfectly.
